Bill Ashbaugh
Bill strives to be a servant leader. His faith and career passions have led him to assisting leaders and companies in accomplishing their business, financial and personal goals and highest potential.
Prior to founding Straight Path Growth Advisors, he served as Managing Director of Capital Southwest Corporation, a publicly-owned Business Development Company that invests in lower middle-market companies across the capital structure.
Bill’s experience includes sourcing, reviewing, conducting due diligence, negotiating equity and debt investments in numerous privately-owned businesses. He has served as director on private and public boards, where he actively participated in strategic and financial planning, personnel recruitment and assessment, transaction execution, governance, and exit planning and execution. He has investment experience in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, distribution, healthcare services and products, consumer products, retail, technology and SAAS businesses, and energy services and products. In his career as an investment banking and private equity and debt investment professional, Bill developed an extensive network of relationships with private equity firms, commercial lenders, law, accounting, insurance & consulting firms.
Bill is a member of the Watermark Community Development Corporation board, the Loopback Analytics investor board, Ambassadors Impact Network and the Private Directors Association. He is a Certified Value Growth Advisor. Bill holds an MBA summa cum laude from the University of Texas at Austin and a BS summa cum laude from Texas A&M University.
